The National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry:

2007 National Celebration of World Youth Day

The national celebration of World Youth Day takes place on October 28th--the Thirtieth Sunday of Ordinary Time. The annual resource manual features a special liturgical planning guide for pastors, youth ministers, and liturgical ministers.

2007 National Catholic Youth Conference

This year's NCYC will be held in Columbus, Ohio, on November 8th-10th. This year's theme is Discover the Way/Descubre El Camino.

2006 Encuarto:  Weaving Together the Future

The goal of The First National Encuarto for Hispanic Youth and Young Adult Ministry was to empower Hispanic Catholic young people to be more active, enthusiastic and influential in the mission of the church.  The central theme for the First National Encuentro was, "Weaving Together the Future," and  it involved thousands and thousands of Hispanic Catholic youth and young adults at the parish, diocesan, and regional levels. The national event, held at the University of Notre Dame, was designed to accommodate two thousand people, most of them between the ages of 18 and 30. Explore the archived 2006 National Encuarto website for further information on this significant event.

The Dead

Theologian's Society

Saints of Yesterday Inspiring Youth of Today

From the DTS Website:  "The Dead Theologians Society is a Catholic apostolate for high school age teens and college age young adults. Through the Saints of yesterday, the Dead Theologians Society inspires the youth of today to become the saints of tomorrow. A special charism of the Dead Theologians Society is to pray for the release of the Souls in Purgatory. Its motto is, “Dead to the World, alive in Christ!” This is inspired by Romans 6:11 where St. Paul tells us to be dead to sin but alive in Christ Jesus."

See the DTS website for newsletters, FAQs, and information on launching a local chapter.
