Mrs. Vodicka

Catholic Classroom Monique Vodicka is the third grade teacher at St. Mary's school. She and her husband have lived in West Chicago and have been parishioners of St. Mary's for over twenty years. Monique grew up in West Lafayette, Indiana and graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Elementary Education.

She then moved to Westmont, Illinois for her first teaching job at Holy Trinity School. While teaching, she took classes at NIU and received a master's degree in Educational Psychology. She taught school for seven years, leaving her position when her daughter was born. Her son was born two years later. There are now 21 and 19. Monique has been teaching at St. Mary's for six years. She also teaches Pilates and yoga classes at area fitness centers.

Monique is very happy to be teaching full-time once again and feels especially blessed to have the opportunity to teach at our school. The parish staff, Mrs. Coughlin, fellow teachers and all of the school families make this an amazing place to learn and grow.
